The 12th German Senior Day was opened by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier. In his speech, he expressed thanks and appreciation to the many senior citizens who work for others. The elders form "the backbone of the Volunteers ". Following the speech of the Federal President Steinmeier Franziska Giffey, Federal Minister for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, Karl-Josef Laumann, Minister for work, health and social affairs of the state of Nordrhein-Westfalen and Ullrich Sierau, Mayor of the city of Dortmund, addressed their greetings to the visitors.
On 6 June 2018, SIH with the help of the Local Action Group of Ukmergė organized an information seminar on the ESFA 54+ project “Mokykis ir Savanoriauk!” in Ukmergė, Lithuania.
Rector of the Medardas Čobotas Third Age university, dr. Zita Žebrauskienė, presented the project activities of SVMI in the conference‘‘Seniors education in Lithuania‘‘ held in the Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania in May 25,2018.

On 17-18 May 2018, Soros International House director Daiva Malinauskiene participated in XVI annual Baltic Sea NGO Forum in Uppsala, Sweden. This years Forum was dedicated to Strengthen NGO participation in the Baltic Sea Region.
On 14 May 2018 SVMI project presented in Helsinki to Finnish Pensioners' Association.
The project “ERFAL: Exchange of practices for disadvantaged people” aims to establish a thematic network at European level in order to share experience on different topics in the area of integration of disadvantaged people.

On 3-4 May 2018 the 2nd partner meeting of Erasmus+ project Parents for All was organized in Vilnius, the capital of Lithuania. During the meeting partners from Greece, Italy, Scotland, Spain, Germany and Lithuania discussed main issues of the project implementation.
